This is because everything is constantly changing, like a kaleidoscope. Cities and nature, people and ideologies, misfortune and happiness—nothing is eternal. This fact is both salvation and despair. When I first met her, she was an ordinary art student. Before long, she had become a sought-after model painted by many artists—a muse for contemporary painters. As evening light fell across her reclining body, my jealousy toward others ceased to matter and I was able to focus on the beauty before me.
