The work retains sculptural volume while carrying the immediacy of drawing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e作家コメント \/ Artist Comment\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e「drawing relief」シリーズを本格的に展開し始めた2021年の作品です。粘土を板状にしたものにヘラで描いたdrawingを、モチーフの輪郭で切り取り、テラコッタに焼成してからアクリル絵の具で彩色しています。彫刻と同じ質感・技法のものを壁掛け作品としても楽しめるよう作り上げたシリーズです。彫刻のためのdrawingでもあるため、彫刻に必要な真横からのシルエットの作品が多いです。\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e作家について \/ About the Artist\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e瀬戸優は1994年神奈川県小田原市生まれ。東京藝術大学美術学部彫刻科、同大学院美術研究科彫刻専攻を修了しました。主にテラコッタを用いて野生動物を造形し、指や道具の痕跡を残した表面から、動物の身体性と動勢を引き出しています。野生動物を通して自然界の均衡や生命の緊張、人間との関係や距離を見つめる制作を続けています。\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBorn in Odawara, Kanagawa in 1994, Yu Seto completed both undergraduate and graduate studies in sculpture at Tokyo University of the Arts.
