作家について / About the Artist

神奈川県生まれ。2002年からイラストレーターとして活動し、2015年頃にアーティストへ転向。伝統的な技法を取り入れながら、伝説上の神獣を現代の視点で描き直す絵画を制作してきた。2022年からは現代人をモチーフにしたポートレートシリーズも発表。絵画に加えて木版画やアートトイのキャラクターデザインにも取り組み、アダチ版画研究所との協働による木版画を制作している。個展に「共生」（2019年）、「変化しつつ循環するもの」（2020年）、roidworksgalleryの「Bitten from Within」（2022年）など。香港、北京、パリのアートフェアにも出品した。

Born in Kanagawa Prefecture, feebee began working as an illustrator in 2002 and shifted toward an artistic practice around 2015. Incorporating traditional techniques, the artist has developed paintings that reinterpret legendary sacred creatures from a contemporary perspective. A portrait series centered on people in contemporary society was introduced in 2022. The practice also extends to woodblock prints and character designs for art toys, including a collaboration with the Adachi Institute of Woodcut Prints on works made using traditional woodblock-printing methods. Selected solo exhibitions include Symbiosis in 2019, Cycle of Transformation in 2020, and Bitten from Within at roidworksgallery in 2022. Beyond these exhibitions in Japan, feebee has presented work at art fairs in Hong Kong, Beijing, and Paris. feebee has also been featured on BS Fuji’s Break Zenya, a television programme introducing contemporary artists and their work.
