作品について / About the Work

「Honeycomb Chain #0037」は、枯山水の砂紋のリズムと、そっと佇む植物のしなやかさが調和した空間を描いた作品です。余白を尊ぶ和の美しさを表現し、切り取られた風景が記憶の断片として描かれています。

六角形（ハニカム）は、蜂の巣をはじめ自然界にも多く見られる強度の高い構造です。泉東臣はその安定した構造を作品の「器」として、どこかの誰かが所有する一枚一枚が、見えないつながりを生むという世界観を表現しています。

Haruomi Izumi is an artist whose work draws on natural and landscape impressions through the material language of nihonga. He appeared in BS Fuji's Break Zenya episode #81.
